Our passage today is Luke Chapter 12 verses 13-21, entitled ‘The greedy brother’.
What starts as a family dispute about an inheritance Jesus turns into more general teaching about greed, possessions and covetousness by telling a story in a very pointed way with a sober ending.
And so Sinclair Ferguson ends his devotional by asking us to reflect on this:
‘How strong is the glue between you and your possessions (and how can you tell)? What have you seen of Jesus so far in Luke’s Gospel that helps to dissolve its power?’
We continue with our extended church address list, and so I encourage you to remember today in your prayers,- Beatrix along with Benett and Emelia- Lynn’s daughter Ellie and granddaughter Louise
