It is Saturday, and the start of the weekend!
We are taking a very short break from the story in Genesis. Tomorrow we continue our Sunday sermon series on Abraham in the New Testament, and in particular thinking about Abraham in the writings of the apostle Paul, and I will be speaking from Romans Chapter 4.
However, to get a little run-up to that chapter and the flow of the argument, may I suggest you read Romans Chapter 3 today.
Here we see Paul’s diagnosis of the human condition, whether Jew or Gentile (verses 1-20), that we cannot be made right with God by observing the law, but that with the coming of Jesus Christ and His Gospel (verse 21 onwards) a different way of getting right with God has been more clearly made known.
