As a church we support God’s work in Northampton and further afield.
Regular donations are given to Bethany Homestead and FISH (Friendship International Students and Hosts) working with overseas students at the University of Northampton.
For a number of years we have also given regular support to Fidel Nyikuri, a former youth intern at Church on the Heath, for his work of training future Christian leaders in Kenya with IServe Africa, though in the last year he has moved to full-time pastoring of a new church he has helped set up, GracePoint Church, Nairobi.
In addition we support the Baptist Mission Society and in particular “Sophie” who works in a country in North Africa, and Crosslinks (an Anglican Mission Society), supporting Saw Myint Ko Ko Khaing, who is a theological student in Myanmar.
Every Christmas we raise money in a special appeal for Christian mission overseas in a context of deprivation. In recent years we have raised money for Bible distribution through Harvesters Ministries in Lesotho, Barnabas Fund’s ongoing humanitarian work in Yemen, Open Doors work amongst persecuted Christians in the Middle East, and for the purchase of a vehicle for the YWAM team working in Northern Uganda.
