Daily email from the Vicar Number 115

As the apostle Paul draws his letter to a close, some final words of exhortation or strong urging to his readers.
– for a particular couple in the church to put aside their differences (vs.2-3).  And these 2 women aren’t just “sit in the pew” Christians, but those who have been very active in service of the gospel.
It is a reminder that differences and arguments can spoil the lives of the keenest Christians and the churches they are part of – sadly it still happens today!
– some famous verses which you should recognise (vs.4-7), about rejoicing always, praying about everything with thanksgiving, and the wonderful promise of the peace of God.
– some verses (vs.8-9) about thinking about the right things.  Actions and words are often the visible fruit of what we are thinking, what is in our minds, so focussing well in our thinking is a really good thing to do.
All these 3 short paragraphs are worth spending time reflecting upon again and again as a constant reminder of what would be good for us spiritually.
Praying through our extended church address list, we remember today those who come regularly to Here 4 You when it was open, who haven’t been mentioned previously,
– Tracey,
– Melanie,
– Chris,
– Mikala & family
