Daily email from the Vicar Number 7

Here is a verse to meditate on in these difficult days.
‘May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.’
(Romans Chapter 15 verse 13)
As with every aspect of the Christian life this verse reminds us that we need to receive from the Lord first, so that we can give out and overflow to others around us.
Lynn has found a useful little morning talk on youtube called ‘Morning Ministry with Nick Jackson’.  He’s going through some of the Psalms.  He seems to be associated with a Christian holiday firm called Richmond Holidays and these are the kind of talks he would normally give at the beginning of the day before they went off skiiing or something!!
Please pray again for the front-line hospital and other NHS staff today.  Here is a direct message from Rev George Sarmezey, who is the Senior Chaplain at NGH,

Please keep the hospital in your prayers. We know the storm is coming but we don’t know the exact magnitude and strength of it yet. Many of our front line staff feel  fearful at what is to come.

From our own church address list please remember in your prayers today,
– Tina
– Derek & Joanna
